Tik Tok, also known as Douyin (literally "vibrato short video"), is a Chinese music video platform and social network that was launched in September 2016 by Zhang Yiming, founder of Toutiao. Today, it is the leading short video platform in Asia, and has established itself as the world's fastest growing app, with the biggest music video community globally. Before 1988, it was played on grass courts, but since then three types of hardcourt surfaces have been used: green-coloured Rebound Ace up to 2007, blue Plexicushion from 2008 to 2019, and blue GreenSet since 2020.
