Passive voice

Passive voice is a grammatical voice common in many languages. In a clause with passive voice, the grammatical subject expresses the theme or patient of the main verb – that is, the person or thing that undergoes the action or has its state changed. This contrasts with active voice, in which the subject has the agent role. For example, in the passive sentence "The tree was pulled down", the subject (the tree) denotes the patient rather than the agent of the action. In contrast, the sentences "Someone pulled down the tree" and "The tree is down" are active sentences.

Un newsgroup è uno degli spazi virtuali creato su una rete di server interconnessi (storicamente una sottorete di Internet USENIX network o più semplicemente Usenet) per discutere di un argomento (topic) ben determinato. In italiano a volte viene utilizzato il termine gruppo di discussione.

Atracción fatal

Atracción fatal (en inglés Fatal Attraction) es una película estadounidense de 1987 dirigida por Adrian Lyne. En los Estados Unidos la película tuvo un gran impacto en la opinión pública por su dramático guion planteando a todo nivel la reflexión sobre la infidelidad conyugal. Consiguió seis nominaciones a los Oscar, a la mejor película, al mejor director, a la mejor actriz principal (Glenn Close), a la mejor actriz de reparto (Anne Archer), al mejor guion adaptado, y al mejor montaje.

Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to communicate, resulting in a range of signs and symptoms, including physical, mental, and sometimes psychiatric problems. Specific symptoms can include double vision, blindness in one eye, muscle weakness, trouble with sensation, or trouble with coordination. MS takes several forms, with new symptoms either occurring in isolated attacks (relapsing forms) or building up over time (progressive forms). Between attacks, symptoms may disappear completely; however, permanent neurological problems often remain, especially as the disease advances.

T-26

The T-26 tank was a Soviet light infantry tank used during many conflicts of the 1930s and in World War II. It was a development of the British Vickers 6-Ton tank and was one of the most successful tank designs of the 1930s until its light armour became vulnerable to newer anti-tank guns. It was produced in greater numbers than any other tank of the period, with more than 11,000 units manufactured. During the 1930s, the USSR developed 53 variants of the T-26, including flame-throwing tanks, combat engineer vehicles, remotely controlled tanks, self-propelled guns, artillery tractors, and armoured carriers. Twenty-three of these were series-produced, others were experimental models.
